By propelling particles at eachother at near the speed of light to create reactions and test scientific theories. It's called a particle accelerator.

Also known as a COMPLETE waste of money, they use particle accelerators to find out what are the smallest particles in the universe but they fail to understand that the size of particles, big or small, is infinite.

Not meaning to be rude, but are you sure you want to contradict the logic of some of the greatest minds alive? To scientists, nothing is impossible. If it's infinite, there's room for infinite improvement, and they'll improve on it for ever. Also, while there is a vast margin, size has to come to a close, at least with the tiniest quark.
