Apart from the desert warioirs of the sultans, Antillica's military consists of the legendary Gilded Knights, who while very well trained and equipped, are few in numbers, and 3 defensive battalions. Antillica relies mainly on the mercenaries living in the mountains when a state of war exists.
Antillica's navy is powerful, considering the small amount of sealine. The airforce is small, consisting of bombers and fighters.

Maybe we should increase the airforce, or would we need more civs for that?

Sorry, civs? As in civilisations? As of late there has been no need for expansion. Maybe in wartimes.

An airforce would put us at quite an advantage if we had to battle on home soil, if we kept them a secret until we really needed an edge we could easily win a war.

Unfortunately, there is no funding for such a thing. We are currently trying to technologically update urban areas.
